The White House appointed Avi Loeb to chair a UAP Science Council, a panel of outside scientists studying the origin and national-security risk of unidentified anomalous phenomena. The council reports to a newly established UAP Governance Board under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and requested over 50 Pentagon videos and documents on known UAP incidents after its first meeting. Former Pentagon AARO director Sean Kirkpatrick publicly questioned Loeb's suitability for the role.
