An ~18-month wave of triangle sightings across Belgium reported by thousands of witnesses including gendarmes. The Belgian Air Force scrambled F-16s on March 30-31, 1990 and released radar data later analysed by SOBEPS. Over a period of several months, thousands of independent civilian and law enforcement witnesses across Belgium reported observing massive, silent, low-flying triangular craft with distinct underside illumination. The wave culminated on the night of March 30, 1990, when ground radar installations tracked an anomalous target, prompting the Belgian Air Force to scramble two F-16 fighters that subsequently achieved multiple radar lock-ons. The radar telemetry recorded speeds and abrupt altitude changes that exceeded both the physical limits of conventional aircraft and human gravitational tolerance, leading to a highly transparent public military briefing.
