Villagers in Llandrillo reported a massive tremor equivalent to a 3.5 magnitude earthquake accompanied by intense anomalous lights over the Berwyn Mountain range. British military quickly cordoned off the area, prompting decades of claims of a crashed craft and recovered bodies, the event became known as the Roswelsh Incident. The British Geological Survey attributes the event to coincident earthquake and meteor activity, but no impact crater was ever found. UK MoD incident reports are held in the National Archives.
