Italian Air Force pilot Giancarlo Cecconi intercepted and photographed a matte-black cigar-shaped object operating in restricted airspace in broad daylight over Treviso. The structured craft with a transparent dome outpaced the intercepting fighter on departure. Italian Air Force ground radar simultaneously confirmed the contact, providing multi-sensor corroboration. Regarded as one of the strongest military intercept cases in Western Europe.
