During a Chilean Air Force airshow, multiple high-definition cameras inadvertently captured objects zipping across the flight path of performing jet aircraft at seemingly staggering speeds. The Chilean government's official UAP committee, CEFAA, initially released an analysis suggesting the presence of genuine anomalous craft. However, subsequent independent re-analysis concluded the objects were almost certainly insects close to the lens, producing apparent high-speed traversal through parallax with the moving cameras. CEFAA later revised its position and accepted the insect explanation. The case is now frequently cited as a model of rigorous official UAP investigation, even after its anomalous status was withdrawn.
