Two sentinels at Brazil's Itaipu military fortification suffered severe first- and second-degree burns from an intense thermal wave emitted by an unidentified object that approached low over the installation before rapidly departing. The fort's electrical systems failed simultaneously. Brazilian military medical records document the injuries. One of very few cases on record of direct physical trauma to military personnel attributed to UAP emissions.
