The 'rods' photographic phenomenon, fast-moving rod-like images appearing in long-exposure frames, was popularised by José Escamilla from 1994. High-speed videography subsequently established the artefacts are motion-blurred insects, though some UAP enthusiasts continue to advance an anomalous interpretation.
