Retired Temple University history professor and one of the most prolific researchers of the abduction phenomenon. His regression hypnosis sessions with hundreds of subjects across three decades produced some of the most detailed and consistent abduction accounts on record. Collaborated closely with Budd Hopkins and John Mack.
David Jacobs spent his academic career at Temple University as a history professor while conducting an extensive parallel research programme into the UFO abduction phenomenon. Beginning in the 1980s, he trained in hypnotic regression and worked with hundreds of individuals reporting abduction experiences. His methodology and conclusions — particularly his argument that a covert hybridisation programme is being conducted by nonhuman entities — remain highly contested both within and outside the research community. His books, especially Secret Life (1992) and The Threat (1998), set out a systematic framework for understanding abduction accounts that has been influential even among critics.
