Retired French school director turned UFO investigator, known primarily for his thorough investigation of the Haravilliers RR4 case (1998) in the Val d'Oise, conducted in collaboration with Jacques Vallée and Rear Admiral Gilles Pinon. A regular contributor to Lumières Dans La Nuit.

Background

Gérard Deforge directed a primary school for 23 years before dedicating his retirement to ufological field investigation. His own sighting of anomalous light projections at Eragny (Val d'Oise) catalysed his investigative vocation. He became best known for the Haravilliers case, an alleged close encounter of the fourth kind involving multiple witnesses, which he investigated over several years and published in LDLN #349.
