John F. Kennedy

35th U.S. President; subject of disputed UFO-related assassination claims · US · b. 1917–1963
Sourcing status: Disputed — this is a contested claim, not independently verified. Presented as a documented claim, not established fact.

35th President of the United States, assassinated in Dallas in November 1963. Separately from the assassination investigation itself, some UFO researchers and a widely disputed alleged CIA memo have linked Kennedy to classified UFO information supposedly shared with Marilyn Monroe; the connection is not established by verified primary sources.

Background

John F. Kennedy served as the 35th President of the United States from 1961 until his assassination in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963, an event whose circumstances remain the subject of ongoing historical debate and declassification efforts under the 1992 JFK Records Act. Separately, some UFO researchers, most visibly Dr. Steven Greer in the 2017 documentary 'Unacknowledged' and author Michael Salla in 'Kennedy's Last Stand' (2013), have argued Kennedy sought access to classified UFO program information in the months before his death and may have discussed it privately with Marilyn Monroe. These claims rest substantially on a single undated document, the so-called 'Marilyn Monroe memo,' whose authenticity has not been independently verified and which archivists and skeptics have characterized as a probable hoax.
