American psychologist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Wyoming who conducted more than 500 hypnotic regression sessions with individuals claiming UFO contact or abduction experiences. A personal UFO witness since 1949, Sprinkle served as a psychological consultant for the 1969 Condon Report and founded the annual Rocky Mountain Conference on UFO Investigation in 1980. He died on November 15, 2021, at age 91.
Background
Ronald Leo Sprinkle was born on August 31, 1930, in Rocky Ford, Colorado. He earned his doctorate in counseling psychology at the University of Missouri in 1961 and joined the University of Wyoming faculty where he remained until retirement in 1989. He authored Soul Samples (1999) and organized the annual Rocky Mountain Contactee Conference each summer from 1980 onward.
