Eighteen-year-old whose September 1965 encounter with a low-altitude object on a New Hampshire road was independently witnessed by two responding police officers and chronicled in John G. Fuller's 'Incident at Exeter' (1966).

Background

Norman Muscarello was a teenager whose terrifying encounter initiated the highly credible 1965 Exeter, New Hampshire UAP incident. While hitchhiking at night, he was forced to dive into a ditch to avoid a massive, silent object with pulsating red lights that emerged from the forest. Muscarello's key contribution was his immediate report to the local police, leading to two officers visually confirming the massive object hovering nearby. The Exeter incident became a major national story and was the subject of a best-selling book by journalist John G. Fuller. His initial sighting remains one of the most thoroughly corroborated multi-witness cases involving local law enforcement.
