Aerospace engineer and physicist who spent 43 years at Douglas Aircraft and McDonnell Douglas, retiring as a senior R&D director. He collaborated with his son Ryan Wood to authenticate and analyze the alleged Majestic-12 documents through forensic examination. He presented extensively at UFO conferences before his death in August 2024 at age 96.

Background

Robert M. Wood earned a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Colorado (1949) and a Ph.D. in Physics from Cornell University (1953), joining Douglas Aircraft in 1956. Following retirement, he devoted himself to rigorous forensic examination of the Majestic-12 document set. He co-authored Alien Viruses with Ryan Wood and maintained the majesticdocuments.com research archive until his death.
