American researcher who spent more than two decades investigating the 1947 Roswell incident, conducting hundreds of interviews with surviving witnesses, military personnel, and their families. A former U.S. Air Force veteran with a top-secret clearance and a master's degree in anthropology, Carey co-authored several books with Donald R. Schmitt.

Background

Thomas J. Carey served in the U.S. Air Force before pursuing graduate studies in anthropology. His research into the 1947 Roswell incident began in earnest in the late 1980s and continued for over two decades, during which he and co-author Donald Schmitt conducted hundreds of on-the-record interviews.
